ASEAN DREAM PROJECT

Soccer fans in Thailand and Malaysia, which have never participated in the FIFA World Cup, are more excited than ever before.

The reason for that is that discussion is now being held on expanding the Asian quota from 4.5 to 8.5 in the Qatar tournament of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The ASEAN Dream Project has been set in place to search for the “gemstones” of soccer players in the Asian countries that are expected to lead the next generation of Asian soccer.

A club representing Japan, with support from companies in Japan and Asia, will select promising young boys under the age of 15 from three Asian countries.

Following last year, the club will conduct soccer player tryouts in Malaysia and Thailand and, in addition, Myanmar.

A total of over 400 boys will participate in these selection.

Boys selected during the challenge will become members of the three-country Asian Dream Team and have a match in Japan!

Summer 2019 Summer soccer for Asian boys begins this year, too!
